KTG "Old Man Avatar"- Affordable Themed Avatar

In Secondlife, it has become a common place thing to see many avatars looking their twenty something best in all the finest fashions of today. As a fledging fashion blogger I decided that my first official fashion post would be something a bit different. As a general rule you expect prices of items in SL to rise exponentially as the quality of said items get better. By pure chance I happened across a store that sells a most unique item in Secondlife, an old man skin and accesories. The avatar is themed towards traditional Japanese style but the skin itself can have more uses. While these items might not be on top of anyone's to-buy list, they are worth knowing about, on the off chance you might need an avatar for a themed event of some sort or if you are like me,you tire easily of the same old day after day and like to mix it up a bit. What makes this avatar so amazing isn't just the fact it is beautifully detailed, what truly floors me in this economic crisis is the price you pay to get a full avatar.

The avatar itself cost 250 lindens, the traditional japanese style hair is 50 lindens, and you can get the facial hair for free. The skin package comes in a pale or tanned version and includes a shape meant to be worn with the skin. The outfit, a Haori sleeveless, costs 300 lindens with additional belt options running you around 50 lindens for one color choice. The Erimaki or Muffler is a free gift and the glasses which come with the mustache attached or without for the low price of 1 linden. The entire outfit as a whole, outfit, skin, hair will run you about 651L in total. If you want to buy other variations of the outfits, or pick up one or both of the available hat types you will spend a bit more there. There are also female skins that have realistic fleshtones and little to no makeup on them, each skin costing 800 lindens each or you can pay 2000L for a three pack of the natural skin tones. There are also very realistically rendered eyes, and some nice kimonos as well. If you have a few spare minutes, this shop is definantly worth taking a look at, and if you're thinking about purchasing the Old Man avatar, I dont believe you would be dissapointed by the quality. And for the low price its being sold for, its the best bargain i've seen to date.

I've seen this guy and almost bought it for when I needed an "older guy" for a picture. I thought it was very well done, but took a guy with a more "in his 40's" look.

Good post ;o)
